The cool thing in this game is that Link actually laughs and everything is just more romantic and happy. Skyloft as a whole is fun to just walk around and do side quests(there is even a side quest where you tell a girl you love her and she calls you darling and sweetie the rest of the game). Flying around in the sky with the bird is so much fun. The dungeons each felt different and fun. The most hardest thing to do with the motion controls is to play the harp, that is so difficult because it doesn't make any sense on how they tell you to do it. And the developers realized people needed time to get used to the controls, which is why Link starts out with 6 hearts at the beginning so you can mess up a bit. After the first dungeon, I got used to the motion controls. I can hear half of you people screaming about the motion controls, but in all honesty it isn't that bad. Yes, this Zelda game has motion controls. When you slide the stones in, it puts a hole in the clouds on certain parts of the Skyloft map for you to go down to the surface.
In order to go to the surface though, you have to get these weird stone things and slide them into the Hyrule map thing. The goddess gives a fairy thing called Fi to Link to help him with his quest(but she ends up being a huge pain to deal with and has little character development). Link pulls the Master Sword and is told to go to the surface and follow Zelda. Link then is told by Zelda's father he is the chosen hero. Zelda and Link then go out for a nice, relaxing bird flying session when a giant, black tornado comes along and sucks her down into the surface(I know pretty typical for a Zelda game). After Link retrieved the bird, he won the race and got the sail cloth. Groose took his bird because Groose wanted to win so he could be alone with Zelda (Groose loves Zelda in this game). Link finds out that Groose ended up taking his bird.
Though, Links bird ends up getting taken. Today is the big race, whoever wins the race will get a sailcloth made by (guess who) Zelda.
The story begins as Link wakes up in his room. The people on the Skyloft fly around with birds. The goddess put the people on that piece of land to protect them from the surface. It is a huge floating piece of land up in the clouds. Link(his lips look super weird) is a young man who lives in the Skyloft. I'm here to tell you it isn't a bad game at all.
